Gonçalo Almeida Lives in Rotterdam, Netherlands, where he plays in a variety of projects that go from modern jazz, freejazz, jazzcore and free improvisation music, having shared the stage with multiple European and world improvisers such has Ab Baars, Balasz Pandi, Chris Speed, Carlos Zíngaro among others.

Averse to any linearity, the Idiosyncratic Luís Lopes, a musician connected to Jazz, improvised and experimental music, has been building his career, a simple and singular story, characterized by a unique voice, free of corsets, formal ties or constraints and mannerisms regarding strict stylistical implications. He is an unfollower… experiments himself through paradoxes, his his solo work is characterized by a full experimental attitude and can range from Noise to Pianissimo.

Joining the two musicians on this effort is the prolific, ever spontaneous Phillip Ernsting on drums, who has previously worked with machinefabrik, albatre, ritual habitual, Ernsting cruises through Polyrhythms made on spot, all 3 musicians instantly combust onstage, to give you the most noise fueled experimental Jazz that you have heard in a while which almost makes people instantly uncomfortable, beyond the reason of notice - that it is after all, comfortable, unorthodox, perfect.

This is a tremendous album. I'm a big fan of all of the work of Vicente and Dos Rios, but what pushes this album to an even higher level is the percussion. But all of the musicians are terrific. arbitify
